Built from scratch in 2006 on the site of an electricity substation, a sharp-edged block that reads as a sculpture itself among the Georgian brick of Mason's Yard. Two floors, one above ground and one below, that have shown Gilbert & George, Damien Hirst and Julie Mehretu; the Bermondsey space took over the biggest shows and this one kept the tighter, single-room exhibitions.
