Two Brixton roasters sharing one bar, a few minutes from the tube.
Volcano Coffee Works and Assembly are sister companies who had never opened a shop together until this one. Both are on the bar at once: Assembly's House Espresso, which changes with the season, and Volcano's Mount Blend, with a filter that rotates daily so the two catalogues get worked through rather than sat on. Limited lots turn up here before they go on general sale, which is the reason to ask what is open rather than order the usual. Pastries, and nothing else to eat.
