Toff's has been on Muswell Hill Broadway since 1968, wood-panelled and family-run, and the National Fish & Chip Awards named it the best restaurant in London. The fish is traceable and British, fried in a matzo-and-egg coating or grilled, and the menu has a fish soup to start and a spotted dick to finish, which tells you what kind of room it is.
