The lakeside at the bottom of Windsor Great Park played the Black Lake and its shore in three films - Buckbeak's flight in Prisoner of Azkaban skims this water, Harry and Hermione's conversations in Goblet of Fire are on its bank, and the Triwizard jetty was built out from it - and nothing was left behind but the view. The lake is two miles long with a five-mile path round it, a thirty-foot cascade, a totem pole and a ruin made of real Roman columns from Leptis Magna; Virginia Water station is on the Waterloo line, and the park is free.
