UCL's teaching collection, about 68,000 specimens in a single gallery, including a jar of moles that has become the museum's unlikely mascot and the bones of a quagga and a thylacine. Robert Grant founded it in 1828 as a teaching collection, and it is the last university zoology museum left in London.
