Formerly the Geffrye, and reopened in 2021 with a broader idea of home than the period rooms alone — including work on who was excluded from them. The almshouse gardens and the herb garden are free too. The statue of Robert Geffrye, whose slave-trade money built the almshouses, remains and is now captioned.
