A long, narrow room on Church Street - Time Out called it a skinny little boozer, which is the shape of it - that has been doing one thing properly for over twenty years. The Irish Times gave it the title of most authentic Irish pub in the world outside Ireland, and the pub has put that above its own front page ever since.
The music is a seisiun rather than a booking: players sit in and the tunes go round, every other Thursday and Friday at nine. Gaelic games and football are on when they are on. No table bookings are taken at all, on the grounds that there is no room for them.
