Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Each is drawn on the map as the ground it covers, from where it meets.
Walk with the Guards and their band from the barracks, then watch the ceremony.
Every Wednesday, 10:15Walking
Rather than standing at the palace railings for an hour, this one moves with it: alongside the Guards and the band, into Wellington Barracks to see the new Guard march out, past Clarence House as they come through, and on to Horse Guards. The route is the point - you see the ceremony as a piece of choreography across a quarter of London rather than as a crowd scene.
Adult £20, students and seniors £15, children £5
