Hidden London: Charing Cross tour & afternoon tea

The same secret platforms, then scones upstairs at the Clermont.

Guided tourHistoryUndergroundFood/meal available

Hidden London is the London Transport Museum's programme of guided tours into parts of the Underground that passengers never see: stations closed decades ago, passages sealed off during rebuilds, and deep-level wartime shelters. A guide takes you down in a small group, and the museum runs each tour on a handful of dates that are released in batches and sell out quickly, so these are booked ahead rather than turned up for.

The Charing Cross tour followed by afternoon tea at the Clermont, the 1865 railway hotel built on top of the station: finger sandwiches, scones and a view over the Strand and Trafalgar Square. 14:35 on Fridays and Sundays, selected dates to 2 April 2027. £91.50 covers both halves.
