Hidden London is the London Transport Museum's programme of guided tours into parts of the Underground that passengers never see: stations closed decades ago, passages sealed off during rebuilds, and deep-level wartime shelters. A guide takes you down in a small group, and the museum runs each tour on a handful of dates that are released in batches and sell out quickly, so these are booked ahead rather than turned up for.
One of eight deep-level shelters dug beneath London in the Second World War, and later the first London address of many who arrived on the Empire Windrush.
