Twelve minutes of fireworks off the Eye, and the only ticketed view of them.
Along the ThamesAnnual event
Fired from barges on the river and from the London Eye itself, choreographed to a soundtrack played through the viewing areas. The show is short — around twelve minutes from 00:00 — and the evening around it is long, so dress for standing outdoors in December.
The riverside viewing areas are ticketed and sell out in the autumn; without a ticket you will not get near the river, and the bridges are closed. Plenty of people watch from Primrose Hill or Greenwich Park instead, at a distance and for free.
