A month of the river: film on Blackfriars Bridge, performances on moored ships, foreshore walks.

The Thames Festival Trust's September programme covers the whole tidal river with arts events, heritage walks, boat trips and environmental work. This year's featured pieces include Turning the Tide, a film installation on the columns of Blackfriars Railway Bridge (17 to 20 September), a promenade performance at Thames Barrier Park, an immersive sound show aboard the SS Robin at Trinity Buoy Wharf, and the Mudlarking Weekend at London Museum Docklands. Much of it is free.
