A free day of the Elephant's own music and dance in the new squares of Elephant and Castle, ending with a lantern procession at dusk.
Across the ElephantFestivalFamily friendlyAnnual eventFree
One Saturday in November, the squares between the roundabout and Walworth Road fill with the people who live around them: promenade performances through the morning, a main stage and street pitches from 12:00 with the area's Latin American, African and Caribbean bands and dance groups among the rest, and a lantern procession at half past five as the light goes. It has run every year since 2021, put on with Southwark Council and the developers rebuilding the Elephant, and everything in it is free. The full timetable is on the festival's site in the week before.
