Alison Jacques has a particular gift for the overlooked: she brought Tanning, Hannah Wilke, Maria Bartuszova and the fibre artists Tawney and Hicks back into view, alongside living artists such as Ryan Mosley and Ian Kiaer, and the museums followed.
