Camden Arts Centre

A Victorian library in Hampstead turned into one of London's best contemporary galleries, with a garden and a proper café.

Also in Museums.

Camden Art Centre has shown new work since 1965 and gives its artists the whole building: Martin Creed, Amy Sillman, Kara Walker and Jala Wahid have had shows here that London saw nowhere else, and the ceramics studio and the print programme run alongside. The garden behind is planted for sitting in, and the café is one of the reasons locals come in the week.
