The best baking in London. Bread, cakes, viennoiserie and patisserie worth crossing town for.
Nine or ten doughnuts at a time, each one decorated by hand, on Carnaby Street.
A small counter for the same pastry-kitchen approach to a doughnut: a ganache or Chantilly filling and then a sablé disc, a macaron ring or toasted meringue placed on top one at a time, £6 to £6.50 each. Pistachio, Berry Macaron and Rochers Gianduja are the ones to look for. Croissants, pain au chocolat and a pistachio and raspberry swirl sit alongside, and the dough is fried three times a day rather than baked off in one go.
