Taproom
St Mark's was built in 1828, closed as a church, and is now Mercato Mayfair, a food market over four floors. The bar stands where the altar was, faced in more than a thousand tiles the brewery made by melting down fifteen hundred pint glasses broken at its Elephant & Castle garden over one summer. There is a second bar in the crypt. The beer is brewed south of the river and comes up fresh.
