Gelato in a deconsecrated Mayfair church.
Gelato & ice cream
The oddest of the London shops: Badiani took a counter inside St Mark's on North Audley Street, a church that stopped being one and now holds events and eating instead, so the gelato is served under a nineteenth-century nave. The firm dates from 1932 in Florence and the signature is Buontalenti, named for the Medici court's Bernardo Buontalenti.
