Leather Lane coffee from a roaster whose founder has won the UK Barista Championship three times.
Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood has won the UK Barista Championship three times and co-wrote Water for Coffee with the chemist Christopher Hendon, a study of how the water you brew with changes what ends up in the cup. He and Lesley Colonna-Dashwood have roasted under this name in Bath since 2009 and took the Leather Lane space in 2023. The coffee list is deliberately short, changes constantly and is meant to be asked about; the counter sells beans and brewing equipment too, and the room is used for cuppings, competitions and teaching.
