The best coffee in London. We only list places that take coffee really seriously.
A Probat roaster working behind glass, and a circular marble bar at the end of the food halls.
The Roastery and Bake Hall opened in November 2017 as the first part of a rebuild of the Harrods food halls, and it is a working roastery rather than a display: an 85,000-watt Probat stands in a glass enclosure in full view of the room and turns out four to five hundred kilos a week, more in the run-up to Christmas. The house espresso, Knightsbridge, blends arabicas from Brazil, Colombia, Sumatra and Costa Rica, with single origins alongside it that change through the year. It is pulled on La Marzocco machines at a circular marble bar with brass rails, under a panelled ceiling and decorated pillars.
