The High Commission's Exhibition Hall, with its columns of Australian marble and its chandeliers, is the goblin-run bank of Philosopher's Stone and again of Deathly Hallows Part 2, where the trio break in and escape on a dragon; the later films rebuilt the hall at Leavesden, but this is the original. It is a working embassy, so the hall is seen from the Aldwych pavement through the doors, or on its rare open days; the building of 1918 is Beaux-Arts, with bronze horses of the sun over the entrance.
