Harry Potter

The platform, the alley, the bank and the bridge: where the books are set and the films were shot, the studio where the sets still stand, and the day trips to Hogwarts' lake and the Quidditch woods.

The Leaky Cauldron, Stoney Street

The Leaky Cauldron's door in Prisoner of Azkaban, under the railway on the edge of Borough Market.

Filming location

The third film moved the pub's entrance from Leadenhall to Southwark: the Knight Bus drops Harry at a black door at 7 Stoney Street, under the railway viaduct beside Borough Market, and the street's Victorian shopfronts and the market's green ironwork stand in for its surroundings. The door belongs to a shop now; the railway bridge above and the cast iron of the market are what you recognise.
