Simon Goode and Ira Yonemura opened the centre in 2012 in a former works on Dace Road, on the industrial island between the canal and the Olympic Park, and it has become the place in London to learn the trade: a bindery of nipping presses and guillotines, a print studio with Adana and Vandercook presses and a Risograph, day courses in case binding, letterpress and pamphlet-making, and studio passes for those who have done them. The shop at the front sells the tools, the papers and the books it publishes about how to do it.
