Arsenal's museum sits in the building at the north end of the Emirates Stadium, having moved with the club from Highbury in 2006, and it tells the history of one of the country's great clubs through its relics. Herbert Chapman, who built the first great Arsenal in the 1930s, had the Underground station renamed after it and gave the old ground its marble halls, is here in bronze, and beyond him come the shirt Charlie George wore to win the 1971 double, the boots Michael Thomas was wearing at Anfield in 1989 when the title was decided in the last minute of the last game, and the gold trophy the Premier League had made in 2004 for a side that had gone a whole season unbeaten. A hundred and twenty thousand people a year come through, most on the self-guided tour of the ground, which the ticket includes; on match days it closes half an hour before kick-off.
