The New Guard marches from Wellington Barracks to the Palace forecourt and takes over from the Old Guard, with a regimental band playing through it. Around 45 minutes, starting at 11:00, normally Monday, Wednesday and Friday - but it is cancelled in bad weather and moved for state occasions, so check the Household Division's calendar before you set out. Free, no ticket; stand at the railings or by the Victoria Memorial, and be there well before eleven.
