Camley Street Natural Park

Two acres of woodland and pond on a coal yard, behind St Pancras.

WildlifeFree

A London Wildlife Trust reserve wedged between the canal and the railway, on ground that was a Victorian coal drop. Reedbed, pond-dipping platform, kingfishers and enough birdsong to drown out the trains, five minutes from the Eurostar terminal. It is run largely by volunteers and doubles as an outdoor classroom for schools around King's Cross.
