The room is built around the railway: the ground floor is the busy carriage and downstairs is first class. Mumbai is a chaat city and that is where to start, with a Raj Kachori, crisp and loaded, before a prawn curry, a chicken biryani or lamb chops off the tandoor. The rice pudding is worth getting to.
