Kochhar's line has always been Indian cooking that has spent time in Britain, and the chicken tikka pie is the clearest statement of it. Around that sits a wide run of regional recipes cooked straight. The ground floor is the room with the life in it. At lunch and early evening there is a fixed-price menu at a fraction of the carte.
