Lorne is one room wide and draws a mixed crowd - people from round the corner, people staying nearby, people who have come straight out of an office. The kitchen is classically trained and shows it without insisting: Cornish cod with smoked eel, a chocolate delice under cookie crumble. Lunch and early evening cost a fraction of the carte.
