The bear who gave Winnie-the-Pooh his name was a Canadian black bear called Winnie who lived at London Zoo from 1914, and A. A. Milne's son visited her here. For October the zoo runs a Pooh trail through the grounds marking two anniversaries, for families, book lovers and Pooh fans of all ages. Included in zoo admission.
