Zoo Plaque Trail

A heritage trail round the zoo for its two hundredth year.

HistoryParks & natureFamily friendly

At London Zoo.

Blue plaques, but for a zoo, put up for the Zoological Society's two hundredth year: they mark the spots where something happened - a scientific first, a keeper who mattered, an animal or a fictional character who became part of the place. One of them carries no name at all, and stands for everyone who worked here and went unrecorded. Included with entry, up until the end of December.
