Harvey Nichols

Eight floors of fashion and beauty, with a food market and a dining room on the fifth.

Benjamin Harvey opened a linen shop on this corner in 1831 and the store grew along the Knightsbridge frontage from there. The buying is narrower and more directional than the other department stores - it reads as a very large boutique rather than a shop that sells everything - and the fifth floor is given over to a food market, a cafe and a restaurant with a view across the rooftops.
