Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Each is drawn on the map as the ground it covers, from where it meets.
The guard change with a music writer, who marches you in time with the band and explains what the ceremony is for.
Every Monday, 10:00Walking
Most people watch the Changing of the Guard through a fence and leave none the wiser. Rick Jones is a Blue Badge guide and a music writer, and his tour follows the band on the march, keeping time with it, while explaining where the ceremony came from - with particular attention to the 1790s, when Britain was at its most militarised and Haydn happened to be living in London.
Adult £20, students and seniors £15, children £5
