Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Open one and the map shows the ground it covers, from where it meets.

River
Also in What’s On.

What you get for the money is not information. It is the river as a working waterway taken at the speed the police and the lifeboats take it, and the fact that London looks entirely different from a boat sitting a foot above the surface than from one with a top deck. Expect to be wet.
