A 545-seat theatre off Gower Street that books touring stand-ups, family shows and new work, with a 70-seat studio behind it.

The theatre belongs to the students' union at University College London and programmes for the city rather than the campus: a month here runs from a touring stand-up working up an Edinburgh hour to a children's show, a poetry slam champion, a folk-history singalong and a play about Joy Division. Comedians use it as the London date on a national tour, which is why the names are bigger than the building.
There are two rooms. The main house seats 545, steeply enough that the back is not a punishment, and the Bloomsbury Studio behind it takes 70 and is where the newer and stranger work goes. Student productions share the year with the touring shows, so the bill mixes professionals with people doing it for the first time.
Gordon Street outside was pedestrianised in June 2026 and now has benches and planting; Euston is a few minutes' walk and Euston Square closer still.
The box office takes calls from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and from two hours before any performance.
