Boisdale looks like a club a Highland laird would join - tartan, cigars, a wall of whisky - and books a band seven nights a week under all of it. The room is small enough that the stage is among the tables rather than beyond them, which means the music is the evening rather than something happening while you eat. Thirty-odd nights a month, mostly jazz with soul and blues in among it.
