Matcham's other big variety house, where the Crazy Gang played for fifteen years and Hamilton has played since 2017.

Frank Matcham opened it in November 1911 for Alfred Butt, and for its first half-century it did variety: the Crazy Gang held the stage from 1947 to 1962, Flanagan and Allen among them, in a run of shows that people saw more than once because the cast improvised differently each night.
It seats 1,557 on three levels and is protected at the higher grade. A multi-million-pound restoration by Aedas Arts Team finished in 2017 and Hamilton opened in the restored house that December.
