An Italian pianist's Southbank debut, in the small hall.
Classical
Belli writes and plays contemporary classical piano from the Marche in Italy and is among the most streamed Italian women recording. This concert mixes earlier pieces with her Sony Classical album Daimon and carries two world premieres: Terpsichore, written for the guitarist Rosie Bennet and played with the Piatti Quartet, and a quintet version of the Daimon piano concerto. There is also the first live performance of a track from her forthcoming tribute for Philip Glass's ninetieth birthday.
