London's stages and concert rooms: the West End houses and the playhouses that make their own shows, the grand halls, the churches with a musical life, the jazz basements, the comedy clubs, the clubs proper, and the rooms above pubs where things start. What is on is listed under each venue, and in What's On.
What is on at them this week is in What's On: Performance
Highbury Corner's indie room, where the band you have just heard of plays next month.
GigsLate
A six-hundred-capacity room over a pub at Highbury Corner, running since the 1990s and for a long time the step between a hundred-capacity back room and a theatre. Blur, Radiohead, Nirvana and the Strokes all played it early. Upstairs is a second, smaller stage.
