Far enough up the Thames to be properly rural, and the least busy of GoBoat's four bases - this is Surrey rather than London, past Kingston and out beyond the last of the suburbs. It is also the most seasonal of them: GoBoat's own homepage talks about Thames Ditton returning for the season, so check it is running before you plan around it. Self-drive electric boats you steer yourself - no licence, no crew, no instructor sitting with you.
