Show gardens built from nothing in three weeks and dismantled a week later, the Great Pavilion full of nurseries with plants forced or held back to flower on exactly the right morning, and an audience that takes it extremely seriously. The medals are announced on the first day.
Tuesday and Wednesday are for RHS members; Thursday to Saturday are public days, and it closes at half five on the Saturday. Tickets sell out well in advance.
