South Bank Book Market

Second-hand books on trestle tables under Waterloo Bridge, every day.

Books & writersFree

Under Waterloo Bridge, in the last of the winter sun.

Also in Literary London.

Eight stalls in the dry space beneath the bridge, running since 1983 - the idea of Leslie Hardcastle at the BFI, who wanted something in the dark space under there. Contemporary fiction through to antiquarian editions, plus maps, prints and postcards. Free to browse and open every day, though individual stalls keep their own hours.
