Blackbook Winery

Two people making English wine in a Battersea arch, and a tour that admits it is small.

Urban wineryTastings

Blackbook buy English grapes and make the wine in a railway arch behind Queenstown Road. Their tour is refreshingly honest about the scale — in their words, there is not much touring involved in a compact space, so it is an hour and a quarter of being told exactly how the wine is made, with tastings, for £25.

Most Saturday afternoons, and otherwise by appointment. In summer they open a wine bar among the barrels on Friday and Saturday evenings. The entrance is on Broughton Street opposite Emu Road; Queenstown Road station is five minutes away.
