Elisabeth Frink's horse and rider at the corner of Dover Street and Piccadilly, 1975.
Outdoor sculptureFree
A man sits bareback on a standing horse, both looking down Piccadilly, in Frink's rough, hand-worked bronze; commissioned for the Trafalgar House development on Dover Street and one of the few public sculptures in Mayfair that people photograph. Frink made horses and riders all her life, as images of the relationship between man and nature, and this is the one Londoners know.
