Emil Bruno Meyrowitz opened in New York in 1875 and in London soon after, and the London business still makes frames individually - measured to the face, cut from horn, gold or acetate, and adjusted over several visits.
The shop also holds a stock of antique frames and lenses. It is in the Royal Arcade, which is worth the detour by itself.
