Nicholas Logsdail opened Lisson on Bell Street in 1967 and showed Sol LeWitt, Carl Andre and Dan Graham to a London that had not seen them; it went on to make the careers of Anish Kapoor, Tony Cragg, Richard Deacon and the New British Sculpture, and shows Ai Weiwei and Marina Abramovic today. Two buildings, 27 Bell Street and 67 Lisson Street round the corner, with a bookshop in the first.
