A three-metre bronze of 1963-64 in which two shapes lock together like knuckles or teeth, cast from a maquette Moore made after two pebbles jammed in his hand; it stood outside the Tate from 1968 and was moved to Riverside Walk Gardens, the strip of grass between Millbank and the Thames, where it has the river and the MI6 building behind it. Moore gave the Tate its collection of his work, and this is the piece of it that lives outside.
