Streets, squares, mews and lanes. The most charming streetscapes in London. Some well known, some hidden gems.

Wilton Row

A cobbled Belgravia backwater with one of London's best-hidden pubs at the end of it.

MewsCobbled

The Grenadier at the end of Wilton Row.

A stable lane behind Wilton Crescent, cobbled, walled and wisteria-hung, with a chestnut tree over the middle. At the end is the Grenadier, a small blue-and-white pub built as the officers' mess for the Duke of Wellington's regiment, with a sentry box outside and banknotes pinned to the ceiling. Finding it is most of the pleasure: there is no sign until you are in the lane.
