Grays fills a red terracotta building of 1889 built as Bolding's sanitary showroom, and the specialists inside cover jewellery, silver, watches, coins, ceramics, prints and militaria. It is the easiest place in London to compare a dozen dealers in an hour.
The Tyburn - one of London's buried rivers - runs through the lower floor in a glass-sided channel with fish in it, which was uncovered during the conversion.
