Purdey's Long Room, built in 1882, is one of the great surviving Victorian commercial interiors in London - panelled, hung with trophies, and lined with the firm's own cases. The engraving on the guns is done by hand by individual engravers who sign their work.
The shop also sells leather goods, luggage and country clothing, and the staff are used to visitors who have come to look.
